The ICCFA Annual Convention & Exposition is the hottest ticket in town and Skyways Media’s best opportunity of the year to connect with more than 1,000 cemetery, cremation, and funeral service owners and managers from throughout North America and the world. Held in April this year at Nashville Music City Center, the 4-day event showcases products such as advertising and marketing, thru cemetery and transport equipment, and to finance and sanitary products.
The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA) is the only international trade association representing all segments of the cemetery, funeral service, cremation and memorialization profession.
Founded in 1887 as the Association of American Cemetery Superintendents, the organization was created by a group of 18 cemeterians whose goal was to improve the appearance and operations of their properties. Throughout its first century of operation, the association grew in size and underwent several name changes, but it remained a national cemetery-only organization. In 1996, the association became the International Cemetery and Funeral Association, expanding its membership to include funeral homes and other related businesses and extending its reach beyond U.S. borders. In 2007, “Cremation” was added to the name to more accurately reflect the operations and goals of its membership.
Today, the ICCFA is comprised of more than 9,100 cemeteries, funeral homes, crematories, memorial designers and related businesses worldwide. It serves and supports these members through a host of benefits designed to increase their management proficiency and improve their businesses, from regular updates on government and legal issues, to educational meetings, to a variety of services and products tailored to meet their needs.
This year saw Skyways Media’s own Jack Helm and Harry Hobson present our unique, personalized marketing solutions to funeral homes and cemeteries from across the globe showcasing our high-quality, step-by-step publications designed specifically to help funeral professionals aid their clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Easy to use, easy to read, and easy to digest, our individually-designed guides ease worries and answer questions no matter what the hour. We believe that information about planning a funeral and preparing for death should be in the hands of everyone – and long before it’s needed. That’s why the guides that we create on your behalf are absolutely free and always will be.
Jack and Harry did a fantastic job of educating the diverse group of funeral industry professionals on the benefits of our products (which flew off the shelves!)
The boys performed from under the cover of our fabulous exhibition stand which was designed in-house to create not just a potential sales opportunity, but also a social opportunity, benefitting attendees and exhibitors alike, allowing for continuous and highly productive networking.
Skyways Media are always willing to learn, and we know that all attendees at these exhibitions arrive at the convention looking for new ways to grow, so our presence this year was geared towards helping cemetery and funeral home owners improve their businesses, better serve families, and increase revenues – which we hope we delivered on.
We’d like to thank the ICCFA for hosting such a wonderful and beneficial event, the Skyways stage is set for next year where we will be at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mark your calendars for April 18-21, 2018!
Can’t wait that long? You can follow Jack and Harry’s 2017 road trip through our LinkedIn blog posts. If we saw you there, connect with us, we miss you.
